I wanted to ask a few (unavoidably loaded) questions regarding the AGA (Alienware Graphics Amplifier

• Will there be a refresh of the AGA to support the size and power requirements of 30 series cards?
• If a refresh is not planned, why is the AGA port featured in the new Alienware m17 R4's (RTX 3080)?
• If discontinued why is the AGA still listed as a feature on the m15, m17 and 51M store page?

I recently purchased an Alienware Area-51m R2 with a 2080 super, having done a little digging regarding the upgradeability of the unit I was very aware at the time of purchase that I would not be able to upgrade to an internal 30 series card, however the store page listed the AGA which swayed my decision to make the purchase and allowed me to be confident the laptop would be at least partially future proof given that I could attach a more powerful GPU externally.

I stumbled across a post on notebookcheck that mentioned that the AGA was not able to support 3080 cards and that the AGA has been issued it's EOL. I had no idea the current AGA was built in 2014 and it makes sense that the enclosure is now considered outdated. What doesn't make sense however is why the port is still being included on new laptops with 3080 cards, or why it is listed as a feature on the store page for my laptop but unable to be purchased in my location.

Is the information regarding the discontinuation of this feature true? Does Dell have any plans to refresh the AGA, and if not is there somewhere I can send my feedback regarding this? My laptop has not arrived yet, but I am very much considering sending it straight back once it does.
