Hard Drive Replacement

Hello

I have an Alienware M18x(older model). I recently got a "8 beep" error when trying to boot up. The laptop will not P.O.S.T. I had been having issues with the graphics card i.e. computer freezing, losing color profile, black screen when running Adobe programs(photoshop, after effects, Premiere, etc).

I know that the error is typically related to the LCD. However, I tried hooking the laptop to an external monitor. No luck of course. I then took everything apart and reseated...

• Gpu

• Cpu

• Ram

• Fans, etc.

I then took the laptop to a computer store, but they were not able boot it up either. They attempted to access the bios to perhaps make settings change. But, were unable to do so. Now, at the moment, I don't have the resources to replace the computer. I not completely sure what the problem is. Whether gpu, motherboard, etc.

Any suggestion would be highly appreciated. P.S. If I took my hard drive out and put it in another computer(the exact same model), would it work? Thanks again for any help.
