Openfiler installation problem with Dell R630 Server
We are trying to install a CentOS-based Openfiler distribution on Dell R630 server with PERC H330 mini RAID controller but unfortunately, the installation can't find a hard disk to install the OS.
If only physical drives are present but no virtual disk xuper tv, the installer won’t see a usable volume.
Create a simple virtual disk temporarily so the installer can detect storage.
Check and update iDRAC, BIOS, and controller firmware via Dell support. Updated firmware improves hardware detection and can resolve install issues on older OS installers.
You can update using iDRAC System Update or Lifecycle Controller > Firmware Update.
Hi, To fix this issue. you have to update your window. When the window is not updated so it shows such type of issues. First of all update the window then specify the installation file in a folder so that it can easily detect. It's not a big issue. Try to search the installation file through search bar in window.

The H330 is supported out-of-the-box on current RHEL/CentOS-family kernels (via the SAS3 drivers) and also has Dell-supplied RHEL driver packages if you need them app. If you just need a NAS/SAN, use something current (e.g., TrueNAS, Rocky/Alma + targetcli/NFS, etc.).
