I installed a game player online and it won't work on my computer.

There are some settings that have been known to resolve loading and graphics issues while running Windows Vista with an Intel Graphics Card. This is an unofficial work-around that may work for you also.

Important Note: New drivers introduced on September 2, 2007 do not have these properties available for modification on Dell's 965 Intel card.

Be sure that the you have the latest Intel Supplied Video Card Crivers and then follow these steps:

1. Right-click on the desktop
2. From the dropdown select Graphics Properties
3. Click the button for 3D settings
4. Next to the field Depth Buffer Bit Depth it should have Default
5. Change this to 16 Bit Depth Buffer
6. Click OK
7. Right-click on the GameTap shortcut icon and select Properties
8. Go to the Compatibility tab and select Disable desktop composition
9. You should now be able to run GameTap :)
   

In rare cases, part of the right side of GameTap does not render successfully on Intel chipsets with the Windows Vista Operating System. This most often occurs when GameTap becomes minimized and is brought back up.

To correct this issue, locate the Restore window button in the top-right hand corner. In windowed mode, GameTap should fully render. If you would rather have GameTap in maximized mode, it will still show up correctly.

 

When I click on my desktop and go to graphics properties I do not have that buffer option.
