Vostro 220s Dual Display

Greetings Folks.  Hoping there is a work around to the Vostro 220s with dual video cards not working.  The units in question have the onboard video and an additional Dell ATI Radeon HD 3450, which was the only option for adding an additional video card when building the system at the factory.    The intent was to have dual displays where the ATI Radeon would drive the display on the computer utilizing the DVI port on the ATI, and the onboard vga would drive a projector using the standard dsub 15 pin connector.

Unfortunately when the projector is plugged into the onboard vga it disables the add on ATI card.  So the purpose of adding the additional ATI card is defeated and we cannot use the projectors in the manner that we expected.

Is there a bios update or workaround for this problem?  Since these are located in a school, we now have a dozen of these non working pc's and the end users are not very happy or excited about their Dell experience.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanking all in advance,

Paul, Lan Pro Systems Inc.
