have an Inspiron 2600. A few days ago I turned it on to discover a blue screen. The error is PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.

I don't have any discs from Dell that came with the computer. I have a Windows XP disc but it is for my desktop and when I put it in and start the Inspiron it opens Dr.Dos. It will not go into safe mode .Any ideas?
