Hi,

I have a Dell Inspiron 1564 which is dead!  The Laptop just died on me, the only thing that happens is that when the power adapter is plugged the battery light flashes once and nothing else happens.  I have tried taking out the battery and power adapter and holding down the power on button for over 2 minutes but the result is the same, it doesn't start up. 

I was wondering if it is either the BIOS or the motherboard that is at fault?  If it is the BIOS then can anybody help me out with methods of flashing it without being able to boot into Windows or the BIOS screen?
