Hi, I have an old DELL Inspiron 3000 that I want to bring back to life.  All I have left to do is put some more memory in and install Windows XP.  I think I can start installing XP with the existing 64Mb memory installed.  My problem is that the internal CD player appears to be faulty.  Can anyone suggest how to get a replacement at little expense, or repair this one, or a way of installing XP using an external drive on such an old model?  Also, finally, where is the best place to get XP compatible drivers for the old equipment on this Inspiron 3000?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
