Wow! Thanks for the fast replies mike4realz, and ButtonMasher. I find it kind of disappointing that Dell would do a thing like this, but hey, you get what you pay for. I just wish the XPS M1530 and the Inspiron 1520 came out at the same time, so I could have had the two to choose from! I do think that Dell was a bit misleading about the memory issue.
The GPU-Z screenshot was especially helpful, and also bittersweet lol. I have a few more questions, though. Forgive me for not being able to post my screenshot, but there are a few differences between yours and mine. First, yours says "GDDR3" while mine says "DDR2". There's no "G" on my description. Does that indicate anything?
Also, a major difference is the Memory Bandwidth (which is due to the memory difference). Yours is 22.5 GB/s, while mine is a modest 12.8 GB/s. I can see this being the difference between the two types of memory.
Another difference is that your GPU memory clock is quite a bit higher than mine. 702 MHz vs. 400 MHz. Would this also be a difference between the two types of memory? Or have you overclocked yours or something? (or both?)
**EDIT** Silly me, I realized that both the clock and the default clock are the same, therefore no overclocking has been applied. XP
The last difference is that in your screenshot, the two "Shader" boxes are left blank, while mine both say 950 MHz. Does this indicate anything special?
