New to the forum so please bear with me....

I have an Inspiron 17 5748 running Win 8.1.  Synaptics driver is latest version 18.0.7.1

I want to adjust the sensitive to touch area of the pad so the two buttons are outside the touch area as it's driving me crazy that when I go to click, it moves the pointer sometimes (big fingers!!)

I looked at the registry entries for SynTP and SynTPEnh and there are hundreds of settings that "could" be the one.  Have tried some with no avail!

Has anyone any idea which DWORD sets the bottom edge ?

Tried the normal support method but no luck !

Please help as I'm having to use a BT mouse most of the time which is a pain to carry around.
