U3014 Calibration problems...

 I currently own a i1 Display Pro and just purchased the Dell U3014 monitor because of it's reported color performance.  (I should be receiving the Dell U3014 in about one day.)

My concern is a recent article I read http://www.anandtech.com/show/6890/dell-u3014-lcd-review/8  about the color accuracy when the Dell U3014 is calibrated with the i1 Display Pro.  The quote I'm refurring to is this;

"i1DisplayPro. Being a colorimeter and not a spectrometer, the i1DisplayPro is very good at reading levels of light but can be confused by irregular wavelengths of light. Since the U3014 uses a brand new G-B LED array that has different wavelengths than most monitors, that means the i1DisplayPro is likely to interpret data from it incorrectly unless it has a custom response table built for each individual meter. "

Because of the above article, I've contacted X-rite and luckally they were familiar with the issue.  And, I understand your team and X-rite are working together resolve it.

My questions are,

1.  Do you think there is an issue that can be fixed within a few months or before the end of the year?

2.  Do you know if the fix will be a software update, a new calibration device or a replacement U3014?

3.  And finally, is registering my new Dell U3014 the best way to be notified of updates concerning the above issue?

Thanks!

I wasn't aware of this. I was going to buy a display pro for $200+ so that my colors would be more accurate I take it I should hold off.
