Dell Optiplex 7050 Micro - Cooling Fan Speed
I need some help controlling the CPU cooling fan speed on my Dell Optiplex 7050 Micro.
Basically the fan is always running, at a high RPM, much higher than it actually needs. As a result it's just too noisy to work on.
The manual says there is an option in the BIOS under "Power Management-> Fan Control Override" but my BIOS doesn't have display that option.
I've tried cleaning the thermal paste and applying a new coat but it didn't make any noticeable difference.
It would be great if I could set my own fan curve. I've tried installing a Fan Control application in windows but it doesn't detect the fan sadly.
Is there something else I can try?
