Maxtor Fireball 3 harddrive issue

Does anybody know if Dell is having problems with the Maxtor Fireball 3 harddrives?  I have qty 6 30gig harddrives all manufactured within a 3 day stretch.  The Maxtor p/n is 2f030j0-310651 and the Dell p/n is 0u408.  I have tried to search Maxtor's website and also Dell's, but no luck.  They all fail at the pc bios bootup level.  I have tried larger and smaller Maxtor harddrives and they work fine in the system that I use to test equipment.  Can anybody tell me how I can get these things replaced under maintenance?  I have heard rumors that Dell recalled maxtor harddrives down to as low as 20gig harddrives recently.
