problemms downloading active sync cd for a pda to my computer

i have a dimension e510 computer trying to download a cd for a new pda to active sync
i keep getting a message saying set up unsucessful the computer may not have enough free space please delete some files. 
my computer says i have 210gb on local disc (c:) = 90% free space
why cant i down load this disc what should i do or how do i free up free space it seems like i should have enough can this cd be broken
please help thanks

I do not think the problem is enough disk space if the hard drive has 90% free space. Where are you downloading the software? What is the name of the software?
