Restoring system to factory setting.

Hello, I hope someone can give me some advice.

I did a ghost image of my entire disk (this included all partitions) about 12 months ago when I get my Dell 9100.
Recently my PC has been running like a dog, so I decided to restore it to the shipping configuration (ie. when you first turn it on).

After I first ghost'ed the disk, last year I put an additional disk in and set it up as a striped disk. This has been running ok since then.

To return to my default configuration ...................

I removed the stripe and used ghost to restore my original HD to the factory condition.
When I first rebooted the PC after ghost restore is comes up with 0 active partitions. If I reboot again and do ctrl + f11 a message appears saying "The dell system recovery tool has detected an unsupported change in your master boot record. The tool cannot run at this time. Contact dell customer support."

Can anyone please advise????
