I've been having some problems with what seems to be a combination of about:blank, CoolWWWSearch or whatever, and StartPage-DU.dll. After running a combination of McAfee, Adaware, SpybotSD, hijackthis, ewido, aboutbuster, and cwshredder, I think its getting better. At least, mcafee and ewido have stopped giving me alerts every time I try to open internet explorer. I was able today to open IE without any virus warnings or anything, yet my homepage was still set to about:blank. I waited a minute, and then just tried changing it back to yahoo. I opened IE again, and yahoo came up, with no virus warnings from anything. now, though, IE automatically opens up during startup, every time. Is this some after effect of the virus, or is it not really gone at all? If it doesn't mean the virus is actually still active, how can I make it so that IE doesn't automatically open on startup? Any info you can give will be greatly appreciated.
