Automatic Dialer PhoeBook Update?
happy new year everyone...
for the last 5 days, whenever I sign on online, the moment there is a connection I get a systems pop up that says "automatic dialer phonebook update" and it shows a progress bar... then when the progress bar reaches the end it says "an error has occured during the upgrade initalization" then it says "update.exe"
what is this about? should I be concerned? I have scanned for viruses and I have all the latest patches...
odd thing is that when I do a search for the file "update.exe" it shows a list of files for each day since this has started, for each time that I logged on... the list looks like this :
FWDUPDATE.EXE-0934ADE1.pf (C:\Windows\Prefetch)
FWDUPDATE.EXE-13BB6f77.pf
FWDUPDATE.EXE-14912AA4.pf
UPDATE.EXE-344BC503.pf
this is freaking me out... can anyone explain all this to me?
thanx a bunch...
