You guys helped me so much when I was having trouble with my explorer on my dell XP that I came back for help again.  This is not about a Dell, but I hope you will help me anyway.  I gave my old computer to my daughter when I got my Dell.  It is a HP with Windows 98.  I gave her all the software for it but she has lost her recovery disc.  She was playing a game in DOS and went back to windows fine, then she played again and it would not go back to Windows.  We tried a recovery disc we had for a 98 from a Gateway that my husband had but it would not work... when you click you want out of dos the windows 98 logo comes up for a few seconds and then goes back to a screen that has the words c/windows_ and then you are to put a word or words in.  we tried diferent things but WIN brings it back to "do you want out of Dos" and after clicking yes it goes to the Windows Screen and then back to Dos.  Is there anything we can do or is it a goner?
