Hi all
I recently found a program that is called Clone Master, this program is supposed to look for multiple duplicates of the same file It dose this just fine however be prepared to wait awhile for it to do it's thing. When it is done it will give several options for deleting files. becareful don't use the smart scan option because it will delete parts of Norton Anti virus and send it to the recycle bin. My question is this. Has any body had any dealings with this download and is there a safer way of removing duplicate files from my system ?

Removing duplicate files is something you really do not want to do. Some programs look for files in specific locations, and removing file will cause that program to crash. Some file may actually be hard links. The problem is an unfortunately a consequence of some earlier Microsoft decisions and I have been told will be addressed in the future.
thanks for the info, Have you checked out clonemaster to see if it is a safe way to sort through Approx 100,000 files . to find multiple files of the same size . and name .because I have an auto cad application that hangs up because of this,
