Try a System Restore to a point before this started happening.

This is a Windows Installer error.
 
If System Restore does not work there is a fix for this but it will mean you have to reinstall Excel or perhaps the whole Office package which you use.
 
How did you install Excel originally?  Do you not have it on a "Works" or similar CD from Dell?

I don't recall getting the Windows Office XP Professional disks when I ordered my Dell a few years ago, but perhaps I did? I guess at this point I need to figure out how to get the disks? Thanks for the input.

If they came preinstalled on your machine they will be on the restore CD/partition so a reset to factory settings would get them back for you.
 
That`s a bit drastic though if everything else is working fine :smileysad:
 
If your Dell is a bit older you would have received an XP installation disk and all the software on separate CDs
