AGA (Alienware Graphics Amplifier) FAQ

Dell is no longer selling the 2014 released EOL (End Of Life) AGA (Alienware Graphics Amplifier) on our websites. When I go here and search for, "Alienware Graphics Amplifier", there is not an active sales link. When I go here, the AGA is also not listed. When customizing Alienware Laptops, the AGA is no longer listed under Accessories.

The EOL AGA is not supported by Dell with the RTX 3080/3090 due to wattage issues.

Warranty
The AGA came with a standard 1 year warranty. When purchased with an Alienware PC, the AGA will inherit the warranty that you select at the time of Alienware PC purchase

The models listed in red below still have the legacy external graphics port. But these models were not tested/validated with the 2014 AGA.

Note concerning drivers
All Nvidia video cards installed in the AGA should only use the Dell OEM Nvidia drivers on the Alienware PC drivers page. The Alienware PC Device Manager will have both GPU listed =
- Added Nvidia video card
- Default Alienware PC Nvidia GPU

If you install an AMD video card in the AGA, you would then install the AMD driver. The Alienware PC Device Manager will have both GPU listed =
- Added AMD video card
- Default Alienware PC Nvidia GPU

Supported video cards
* The EOL AGA is not supported by Dell with the RTX 3080/3090 due to wattage issues
* The AGA can support video cards of up to 375w, dual slot, 10.5"
* The AGA was never tested/validated with Nvidia Quadro or AMD FirePro workstation video cards
* Some retail video cards may have larger heatsinks and other elements that may not let them fit. The AGA is designed to fit standard size dual slot, 10.5" video cards (Reference and Founders Edition)
* Some retail video cards may have modified the VBIOS causing incompatibility with the AGA
