Dell Latitude 5420 not working with Logitech Meetup camera

Has anyone had issues with brand new Dell Latitude 5420 laptops not being able to work with Logitech Meetup cameras? Once the Meetup is plugged in, I can't click on the audio icon in the taskbar (it just hangs) and Teams device settings go unresponsive. Everything works if I unplug the Meetup.  The laptop works with other cameras, including the Logitech Rally, Logitech Brio and the integrated webcam.  (All laptop drivers and BIOS have been updated)

I have been given a fix:

On the Dell PCs, are the Intel Smart Sound Technology drivers installed/enabled, if so see if disabling them fixes the issue.

Quick guide to test this at own volition:

1: In Device Manager (View 'Devices by Type'), under 'Sound, video and game controllers' locate "Intel Smart Sound Technology for USB Audio".

2: Right-click and disable device.

If it does fixes the issue please see if you can manually update the driver to the newest version (soon) available if it is not already available for your specific model of Dell PCs, the version we have gotten information is supposed to help with these types of issues are Intel SST 10.29.00.7767 or later, and this driver should be publicly available in late August to early September depending on model and brand of PCs.

The updated driver has been released at this link and should resolve this issue.

The driver link above will work for these systems:

Latitude 5320
Latitude 5420
Latitude 5520
Precision 3560

If this driver doesn't work on your system, please enter your service tag/model to get a list of the latest audio drivers available. If updated audio drivers are not available yet, then the workaround marked as solution above should still work.

Same issue here. Also problems with Rally bar. Normal Rally works fine.

Same - no issues with Logitech Rally Pro or Logitech BRIO.  It's seems to be just with a particular batch of Latitude 5420 laptops that i got last month.  I have purchased about 100 of these laptops and only see this issue with a few that I got a month ago.

I am currently experiencing this exact issue with the same laptops.

We have 3 systems that are operating this setup (Latitude 5420 and Meetup) now all not working
I have tried opening teams in browser and in application to no avail

Hopefully a resolution soon!

Same problem with XPS 13 and Meetup conference camera. I noted on the logitech site there is an issue with 11th gen processors - not sure if this is linked to the Intel issue?

The odd thing is that the issue seems to be resolved if we re-image the Latitude 5420 laptops.  We're running Windows 10, build 20H2.  And this issue only seemed to happen to a recent batch of laptops.  (NOTE:  we haven't gone back to test EVERY laptop...)

Same issue here; not only on Dell laptops!

Looks like the first Meetup, connecting to a fresh system is working fine.
Disconnecting the first, and connecting a second Meetup causes the issues.
Video work, but audio is not detected, system slows down, teams crashes etc.

HI Bart-L.  Are these new machines with 11th gen processors?  Someone mentioned seeing that noted on Logitech site.  On our affected machines, it seemed to happen right away.  As soon as the USB cable is plugged in, everything slows down, Audio can't be controlled from the TaskMenu, equipment doesn't show up in Teams settings/devices, etc...  We only see this with MeetUp cameras

Hi Dell support

We faced the same issue with Dell 5320 and Logitech MeetUp. We also have Dell 7420 and there is no such issue.

Please assist ASAP.

We haven't seen the issue come up with the latest batch of Dell Latitude 5330 and 5430 laptops.  For the original batch of 5420 laptops that had the issue, i re-imaged them and deployed them after testing to make sure that they worked with the Logitech Meetup.  So...i haven't had a chance to try any of the fixes offered since my initial inquiry.
