Instant Provisioning and Sysprep

Hi

I setup a vWorkpsace Farm.

Hyper-V

Win7-32 Enterprise

I tried to create some Desktops in a Desktop Cloud or Computer Group. With unprepared Template i get Error (create failed: FindMachineAccount: failed- domain.....)

Is it correct that i need to prepare the Template either with sysprep or Instant Provisioning?

Instant Provisioning needs a Domain Joined Workstation always?

I can only create Desktops in a Workgroup if use Sysprep?

It is not possible to use some custom Method -lets say- just rename a Workstation on first boot and avoid both sysprep and instant provisioning?
