Why is it so difficult?

Why does Dell insist on making it so difficult to get a copy of this file? Why can't I simply download it from somewhere?

The file should be on your Dell Tool CD. It came with your computer. If you do not have one please contact chat to have them send you one.

Doc131,

Look to the top of this board. Click, "FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)". Now, click "I need the DMX CD (and all other CDs)".

ucho76,

Correct. Chat is for U.S. service tags only. You must use Email or Phone in Canada:

Why do you have to ask for the CD sent to you in the first place?

I am having problems with this and I asked my friend to help me and he asked me where the reintsall CD was at?  I told him that Dell no longer includes them with their P/C's and that you have to ask them to send you one.  He just look at me and shook his head.

I have had this P/C for 3 weeks now and it's no-where near, as in operating, to where it should be.

It's A dell D-3000
