m17, detects power for limited time
My old Alienware m17 laptop detects power but stops detecting power after a few minutes and runs out of batteries. It doesn’t turn on when battery is removed and directly plugged in. I have tried a brand new battery but get same problem. I was running my laptop on a solar panel system that was low on power so I would unplug the fridge to power the laptop around the time this problem started. I am unable to try a different power supply brick atm. Did something get fried inside? Can a technician open up the laptop and see what the problem is? Is this laptop totally useless now? Thanks.
