Hi,

 

I have DELL Vostro 1400 Notebook (Cor2 Duo 7300, 1 GB RAM, 64 bit Intel).

 

I want to install Linux on it. But when I run installation CD on it, it says "No Hard drives found". My Hard disk is of SATA.

 

I tried Redhat 4 and SUSE 10. These are said to be supported versions for SATA hard disks.

 

Could anyone help me uot to resolve the problem?

 

Let me know you detailed configuration for the notebook.
