Can't open 3.2 meg file without memory errors

Question

I have received a 3.2 meg email in Word 2000 format. I have 190 meg of memory with 76% available. When I try to open the file, I get an error saying I don't have enough memory. My co-worker has the same system setup and can open the file with no problems. Any suggestions???

Maybe your SWAP file is too small. Could you post more information about your setup? Which OS? etc.

Do a search on local hard disk C: for 'normal.dot' without the quotes and deletw all instances reboot and try to open the document. If it still does not open you will probably have to remove and install word
