battery problem for 600m
I am having a problem with my battery that I have not seen posted in the forum. My battery used to run fine and then about 2 months ago it started to have problems. It will run down to around 40% and then it will jump to down to 7% power. I called dell and they said it was normal, the battery was not as strong as it first was. I do not think this is the case as it did not gradually go down. This problem just started one day. I have upgraded to the latest versions of BIOS and Quickset and still have problems.

I also have a couple of battery problems that manifested themselves from one day to the next:
1.) Upon upgrading my BIOS to A13 I noticed that my computer was consuming my two batteries twice as fast as normal...
2.) Then, out of the blue, my primary battery started giving me an error (the flashing amber light on the laptop, and the alternate flashing lights on the battery itself). According to tech support, this means that my primary battery has short circuited and it cannot be salvaged.
My batteries are 1.5 years old, but were rarely used since I was never far from a power outlet.
