CANNOT BOOT AFTER PRESSING MEDIA DIRECT. HELP!!
I went to boot up this morning and accidentally pressed Media Direct instead of the Start up button. HUGE MISTAKE! I reformatted my INSPIRON 1720 running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit recently due to a meltdown - I didn't do it, the Computer store did. They did not load Media Direct - which was fine because I don't use it. But in my early morning fog, I pressed the wrong button and now my machine will not boot up even when I press the normal start button. It says Media Direct cannot access the harddrive. EXIT Then nothing. I have the Media Direct reinstall instructions. I'm thinking I need to put the files on the machine or reformat again : (
I was able to boot up after pressing MEDIA DIRECT button again. Saw this post and it helped. But I still don't understand all it is saying. Can I boot normally from now on? Is there some partition problem I need to address? Can take machine back to Computer store (I think I'm gonna rent a space from them and just stay there!) Computers, ugh.
