Fatal Memory Leak

Okay, I have contacted Dell support a couple times. My assistant gave me a special number to call if the problem isnt resolved. Before I go through that nonsense, I need to know if there is a community known remedy to the increasingly annoying problem I am faced with:      My notebook is a rather simple inspiron 1525. 1.8 Pentium Dual Core, Vista Basic x68, 4gb of RAM, etc.        The issue is that if my computer if left on any longer than an hour, the Memory usage will creep up from around 800mb to about 2.8gb!!! At that point, nothing on the computer will work at all, including the task manager or shutdown feature. The issue seems to lie in one of my 12 svchost.exe programs running. It will hike up to over 200,000 kb if I leave it unattended. I have run multiple virus scans (AVG, Panda, Avira). I have ran Ad-Aware, Registry Mechanic, did the computer scan on PCPitstop.com and all have come up with so sort of virus. I have disabled Page Filing which has helped increase performance considerably, but the underlying issue still remains...      The Dell technician, from what I saw, merely cleared a bunch of different caches and disabled a couple startup programs which, once again, helped performance but did not solve the problem. I have done a bunch of other things that I cannot even remember.      The issue is not the RAM itself, I have already replaced it once.     Please help me with this dilemma...

Try running your computer in a clean boot environment and see if that helps the issue any. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316434

Sounds like you need to reinstall Windows...
