I have an Inspiron 1200 that is about 3 years old and have lost the display backlight.  I have connected another screen to the video port and that works OK. I can see the image on the screen if I direct a light at an angle. 

I am running XP Home edition. 

What are my options? 

Is it possible to replace the lamp or do I need to replace the whole screen assy?

I have seen the screens for sale on EBAY for $150, is this a reasonable price?
