Hi HoAlex,

Please perform complete scan on system using the antivirus installed on the system.

Also, ensure windows is up to date.

Let us know the following details:

1. Operating system installed on the system
2. Did you perform any hardware change recently?

Thanks & Regards
Manshu S

Hi Manshu S, The operating system that I'm using now is Windows 8.1 Pro and yes I always keep my laptop up to date. Besides, I also add a 4GB ram in my laptop. At last, I used my antivirus to scan the computer, no threats at all.

Hi Manshu S, Sorry for waiting too long. I followed the instructions that you called me to do. I had no problems in the diagnostics test and the pc checkup. What's next that I'm going to do?

Hi HoAlex,

As you mentioned that diagnostics passed, it can be a software issue.

Please perform system file checker using the link below:

Hi HoAlex,

If the issue persists after updating BIOS as well, try turning off your system from Safe Mode.

For safe mode, press Windows + r > type "msconfig.exe" on run box > click ok.

Go to the Boot tab > Boot options section check the box that says "Safe boot".

Click Ok > restart system.

System will boot in safe mode. Try shutting down the system from safe mode.

This will help us isolate if any application is stopping system to shutdown properly.

Thanks & Regards
Manshu S

Hi HoAlex,

We are sorry for the delayed response. Since the system is shutting down unusually perform clean boot referring to the link below.

Once the clean boot is done check if the issue persists
