Wireless Keyboard & Mouse?

Hi,

I have an Ispiron 9100, and have recently bought a wireless keyboard and mouse and have run into a problem I should have foreseen!

There is a port I am needing, that is not on the 9100 . . . The wireless keyboard and mouse, need available PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports (and of course a USB port). It comes with 2 PS/2 connector/USB combo.

Now, I am not too keen with computers, and I believe I am missing something! There's no keyboard port I am needing! I am not that knowledgeable either, on any of the ports, adaptors or anything of the sort, but unless I am missing something, I really believe I cannot use this wireless keyboard and mouse . . . unless I buy an adapter of some sort?

THIS, is the wireless keyboard and mouse I have:

Would anyone be able to help me out with this? Is it possible I can use this on my computer, and if so, do I have everything, if not, what adapter might I need?

I'd GREATLY appreciate any and all help on this. Thank you in advance!

The wireless keyboard/mouse combinations normally come with a wireless attachment that has both a PS2 and USB jack.  Plug them both in.  Then make sure you "connect" on the attachment, and on the keyboard (and on the mouse as well, if it has a connect button).  My experience is from Logitech equipment, but I believe they all work in the same way.  Hope this helped.

Thank you so much for your reply! I am truly grateful for it.

As for the ports, PS/2 and USB jack, I believe it did come with that. I think my problem is that the 9100 doesn't have the PS/2 port? Hmm . . . well in very, very simple terms (remember I am not wise on computer ports) the keyboard and mouse have one for the USB, and the other is a round port that has the picture of the keyboard on it (so it must be for the keyboard, obviously) yet I have nowhere to plug it in on the computer . . .

Thanks again, and I thank you more in advance for continued help!
