I received my new Dell 1905fp monitor Wednesday and when I connected to my old XPST system via vga connection and  found I couldn't adjust the brightness or contrast so I waited for my new Dim. 8400 which arrived Thursday and connected the monitor via DVI and still cannot adjust the brightness or contrast on the monitor.  When I go to the menu and choose the brightness the gauge changes from 100% all the way to 0 but the brightness of the screen does not change at all and I cannot scroll to contrast, it is greyed out and just scrolls from brightness to exit. Also in the Monitor Main Menu the Positioning and Image Settings are greyed out not allowing access.  I tried Resetting to factory settings but that didn't help. Is this a defective monitor??
