Screen resolution problem with external display

Hello,

I've a 510m laptop which has a intel xtreme 2 graphics chip (82852/82855 GM). The maximum resolution allowed for an external display is 1600x1200 and i need to have 1920x1280! I've tried with the last driver available on the dell site but it doesn't help..

Any solution?

Hi, I had the same problem and have solved it, have a read of my thread, it should help you. Its a bit tedious and complicated but it does work and you'll get 1920*1200 out of the graphics adaptor!

Many thanks, it was helpfull! I've installed the IEDG 5.1 driver and i can use the 1920x1200 resolution. Thanks!

I've just a problem, i cannot choose the laptop screen anymore!!?!? I can only use the external screen and in the display propertie i've only ONE screen (not two like before!). What can i do?
