Powerconnect 6224 reset
Hello,
I recently purchased a used Powerconnect 6224 and have not been able to log in to configure it. It took some sleuthing, but I was able to find the IP address. Telnet and the web GUI are up, but ask for a username and password, neither of which were provided when I purchased it. I have tried using the serial console, but the prior owner seems to have disabled it for some strange reason. It doesn't do anything on any computer/serial port I connect it to. I've followed the serial specs from the manual, but nothing works. Expecting it to at least show a POST type screen on boot, I've rebooted it with a serial console already open but nothing comes up on the screen at all. I've cracked open the case, looking for a battery to remove or a jumper to short to reset it to factory defaults and nothing jumped out at me. I'm stumped at this point. Does anyone have a backdoor username/password or another way for me to reset this switch to factory defaults without using the serial port? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
