Browser problem??
I just spent over an hour with a RR tech, who finally stated "it's a browser problem and you need to contact DELL for more help"... Apparently I'm supposed to uninstall IE and reinstall it. In looking through the discussion forums I found a message that mentioned going to Start/Run then type in iexplore/rereg... I'm wondering if that will aid in my situation as well. I checked the Windows Update History and all appears up to date.
As you can see I'm able to get online but its pretty slow still and the tech said my connectivity is right where it needs to be (according to speedtest.net).
I have an older laptop - DELL Inspiron 5100; use Internet Explorer and Outlook Express
Thanks in advance!

As a troubleshooting step, if you boot to Safe Mode with Network Support, does the problem occur there?

I am asking you to perform a troubleshooting step in an effort to isolate where the problem lies. Booting to Safe Mode with Network Support allows us to test whether or not something loading with Windows in Normal Mode is causing the problem. To boot to Safe Mode, restart your computer and hit the F8 key immediately after the restart and before Windows starts to load. You will get a menu which will show several choices. Choose Safe Mode with Network Support. The computer will then boot to Safe Mode (the video will be low resolution). Try opening Internet Explorer and see if everything works. If it does, we can take further steps to isolate the problem. If it doesn't, we will have to look elsewhere to solve the problem. After performing this test, restart the computer and let it go back to Normal Mode. Report back what you find.
