Microsoft Windows Update for Centrino Wireless-n 10130
Windows update stopped the Intel Centrino Wireless-n 10130 update and a blue window popped up stating:
========================
"Intel PROSet/Wireless Software v17.14.0
Installation Blocked:
This version can not upgrade from the current older product. Please uninstall the older product manually.
Please resolve these erros and rety Installation."
A button with check mark & Finish is the last thing in the popup window.
=================================
I have two questions:
1. Is it a good idea to to install this generic Intel driver or does Dell have its own update?
2. How is a Wireless driver correctly uninstalled & will I need an cable Ethernet connection while the Wireless is updating?
My machine info:
Inspiron 17R (N7110, Early 2011)

Download the latest installer from Intel:
http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wtech/proset-ws/sb/CS-034041.htm
Then uninstall the older version and update.
