Network issues

I have a Dell Dimension 8300 connected to a Linksys Wireless router.  I cannot connect or see the other computers on the network (both using wireless connections).  The wireless computers can see the Dell but cannot connect.  They can see and connect to each other just fine.  When the Dell tries to see the workgroup, I get the message "XXX is not accessable.  You might not have permission to use the network resource.  Contact the administrator of this sever to find out if you have access permissions."  Any ideas?

This is usually due to improperly configured firewalls.  Check all firewalls to make sure they are configured to allow local network access.

I have already tried this.  I shut off all firewalls and still can't connect.  Every once in a while I can connect to the other computers, but no one can connect to the Dimension.  At one time everything worked, until either Dell or Microsoft had an update. this fall.
