Can you be more specific about what you mean by slower.....?

Have you run any reference tests , file-copies, pings, ftps etc ......on a Win-2k-Win2k connection and then on an XP - XP connection

Is the network connectivity /subnet common or switched, on different sections or chassis ?

What I mean by slow is that the XP machine is much slower accessing files from our server in comparison with Win 2000 machines.

Have to repeat my self here - as I more info needed from you
