Remove Wireless Mini-PCI?
My wife can sit in the same room with a Linksys PCMCIA card and connect to our network with no problem (to a Linksys router). I have had problems with the Truemobile 1300 mini-PCI since day one connecting to the same network. I've been able to connect, but it is sporadicly weak. I understand there can be problems with mixing networks and I want to try another Linksys card to see if I get better results.
Problem is, when I tried the Linksys before by simply disabling the 1300, the machine got messed up big time...
So what is the proper way to remove the miniPCI? I know the physical method, but should I remove the drivers completely, then power off, remove the card, and then reboot?
Thoughts? Experiences?
