Same Issue..but here is what I found out. Only one user can access the internet via Explorer at one time. In other words, both my wife an I can be logged into our own session via XP but only one of us can have Explorer open at one time. If she is using Explorer and I log in / switch users to me and then I try to to get on the Internet, I get the "Runtime" error message. Very odd. Does anyone know why this is? By the way, rebooting does not solve the problem.

Hi We have solved our problem. I did a couple of things, so I'm not sure which one fixed it. First of all, my husband and I both had a Google Tool bar and I took them both off. The second thing was recommended by someone else on the internet and it really worked. Go into Tools under Internet Explorer. Manage Add-ons. There is something there called an Antiphishing filter, uncheck it.
We had no more problems after we did these two things. I'd recommend to the Antiphishing thing first, if you like Google and see if that works. Good Luck!

Your Advice was right on! Thank you.
No more error messages.
I took off google weeks ago but still encountered the "runtime" error message. This time, thanks to your great advice, I disabled the anti-phishing filter. Now, I am error free.
How did you know how to solve this problem? Inquiring minds want to know.
