Wifi connected but no internet.
I hope i can explain this clearly.
I have 8 dell venue 7's it seems the final one that i ordered is a newer version of the venue 7. slicker design more apps preloaded seems to work faster.
Now i am having a problem where my wifi says I am connected I get internet for a short time and then it drops the internet. I still show a perfect signal on the wifi but I get no internet. there is no indication that the internet is out it just doesn't load anything.
If i turn off the wifi, set the tablet into airplane mode, or reset it all together and then reconnect I get perfect signal strength and internet for a short time.
I have 8 dell venue 7's and only the newest one is doing this so I know the wifi is strong and working. To make things more confusing one of the employees here has the EXACT same issue but it is with his kindle fire.

i've just started getting the same issue on my dell tablet - was working fine until about four weeks ago and now it happens every few minutes. i've tried changing various adapter settings but nothing seems to work. of all the support articles i've seen the most similar seems to be related to power management incompatibility with the intel network cards but the instructions for correcting it do not seem to be available in my system so i don't think it's my problem.

If you can get an IP address from your connection then it is not receiving any internet then it may be your computer is not able to "gateway" out. All you have to do [usually] is change your MAC address by going into your system drivers options in the control panel. Not all wireless adapters have that option.

I do receive internet for a short time, then for no reason internet is no longer working but connection still shows strong.
I have found out that this problem goes away if you set a static IP for the tablet. This is only a temporary solution as we would like to not have a static ip set.
