Beep every 35 seconds

Question

I have a poweredge 2650 service tag # CF8J121.  Has been running fine until we installed Veritas 9.0 on it last week. Since then it is beeping every 35 seconds exactly.  We have checked everything we can think of, the raid array, the device manager, etc and everything checks out.  The fans appear to be on as well.  I have rebooted it several times and it will come up and not beep for about 3 or 4 minutes then start again.  I have checked the even log and do not see anything coming up every 35 seconds.  Does anyone have any ideas?  Thanks

Hi,

Based on your system configuration, there are no hardware devices which should be causing the beeping noises. does the beeping stop if you uninstall the Veritas software? Another software which has been known to beep is the Cisco router application. This will beep if the log file is full.

I have the same exact problem.  I have a PE 1600SC with Veritas 9 on it.  I stop the Veritas services and the beeping stops.  I cleared out the warnings tab but to no avail.  Any ideas?

Guess what I just found.  SUCCESS!!!    http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/258018.htm   Seems it a Veritas issue with Symantec and Execview.
