Build A Redundant Server

I have never tried this so was not sure how to proceed. Was wondering if someone else can offer any help or advice. I currently run a PowerEdge 1800 as my main server. It runs fine but i realize that it is getting old and chances of hardware failures are increasing everyday. This server runs in a manufacturing facility and i can't afford to have a server go down for any length of time.  I have spare parts but murphy's law gets you at times and a simple part replacement goes bad and now you find yourself having to shut down operations because a server is down.  I want to create a Redundant server that i could just put into place turn on and keep running while i decide if i am going to try and fix the main server that went down or decide to go ahead and buy a new server etc...    I have a PowerEdge 1800 with the same hardware configuration as my main server that i could make a redundant server out of. Here is my question(s)

1. can i restore a full backup from my main server onto this machine and it work without running into issues with Product Keys.etc .. I am running SBS 2003

2. is there a better way to go about this.

Thanks for any help or suggestions
