Partitioning

How do I add a partition to my hard drive without software that costs money?Help?!

You could Reinstall windows, or you try this free partitioning utility,
 
 
Note: you use the above at your own risk and read the instructions carefully.   Make a backups of anything you wish to save, before using.
 
Personally, I would buy and use a partitioning utility, like Symantec's Partition Magic or Acronis Disk Director.

It's free to use your XP disc to delete existing partitions, create a new, smaller one and reinstall the OS. Then partition the remainder of the drive.

By reinstalling XP, then there's an option to delete, change and add partitions.
