error every time i try to start my computer

Question

whenever i start up windows xp (home edition) i get a blue screen with this text:     A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer   RDR_FILE_SYSTEM   (it then goes on to explain that if this is the first time restart your computer, or go into safe mode)   Technical Information   ***STOP: 0x000000027 (0xBAAD009C, 0xB2131824, 0xB2131520, 0xB2A08DC3)   ***UdfReadr_xp.sys - Adress B2A08DC3 base at B29DB0000, Datestamp 3cb4ce89   Beginning dump of physical memory   physical memory dump complete       ...what do i do? STOP THE MADNESS!!!

Have you recently installed Roxio Easy CD Creator. The problem appears to be with one of the files associated with this program suite. You might want to look at the discussion at:

and see if that leads you to a solution.

Did you recently install a 'UDF' reader for the CD drives?  or did you install any additional CD burning software?  e.g. If you have the Sonic Record Now that comes with many Dell's, it has the 'DLA' program with is a UDF formatting CD program - if you installed another CD burning program such as Nero or Roxio, which also comes with a UDF program that would cause a conflict as only one UDF program can be installed.  Nero's UDF program is 'InCD' and Roxio's is either 'Direct CD' or 'Drag to Disc' depending on the Roxio version.
