Sounds good but I cannot get a search engine...

Does the computer you are using to view this forum have an internet connection?  Of course it does, otherwise you wouldn't be able to view this forum.  I don't know why you would need a search engine, since all you have to do is click the links in the message I posted.  Click the links, download the programs to the computer you are now using.  Copy the downloaded files to a CD-R, take the CD-R to the computer that doesn't work, copy the files onto that computer, and run them from there.

try safemode with networking. if it works then uninstall your firewall

I have Spyware Doctor already installed and ran it and it found nothing... others I cannot download because of my problem...

if thats the case then just go ahed and do a reinstall. If you just pruchased the computer last year you probably have an image on you hard drive to restore factory settings. try Ctrl + F11 on the dell logo. it should take you to a PC restore by symantec window. click restore the on the next window confirm

After a reload of the OS, it turned out that I had corrupted the Network Adapter and/or the associated  Drivers... everything is back to normal... I want to than everyone here on the Forum for their continous help....
