Installing iTunes

I have an XPS 400 with Windows XP MC Edition. I can't seem to be able to install iTunes, because at the final stage of setup, it always says there's an error report and I have to close it. Then when I try to open iTunes, and the same message appears, preventing me from running the program. Can anyone help me, thanks.

try to install it in safe mode, or in a administrator session

I figured it out!

First, go to Apple.com and click on Quicktime.
Click on "Free Download".
DO NOT click on "Free Download Now", because that will include iTunes, instead, look on the right for "Quicktime Standalone Installer".
Install Quicktime, then I forgot if you have to restart it, but anyway, after you're done, you can now safely download iTunes.

Have fun. Tell me if it worked for you.

Quicktime loaded, but install shield still prevents iPod update or iTunes from loading.
