Merging duplicate files in Windows XP Home
I have multiple files (all alike, same name, same content) that I would like to merge or delete except for the final file.. Unfortunately these files are "My Documents" which I cannot seem to merge or delete. The paths look like this:
1. My Computer>John Brown's Documents>My Documents>My Documents
2. My Computer>"C">Documents & Settings>John Brown.BROWN>John Brown>My Documents>
My Documents>My Documents>My Documents
The desk top icon opens item # 1.

Dont worry the second item is not taking up your disk space, " My Computer>"C">Documents & Settings " This is the location which not only stores your documents but also the documents of other users on the computer if any.
So there is only one advice : Sometimes its better not to mess up with windows...lol...otherwise its just fine.
